The Daily Home, Talladega, Alabama, February 24, 2005: Services for Joe Kirk Frederick, of Madison were held Feb. 21 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with Chaplin Joey Byrd officiating. Mr. Fredrick died Feb. 17. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Kirk Frederick and Saranell Mixon Frederick of Hamilton. Mr. Frederick was born in Jasper. He graduated from Monroeville and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict and returning to graduate from Auburn University. His career was in transportation logistics management, and most recently as Vice President of Operations with Advanced Federal Services Corporation in Madison. Survivors include his wife, Margie Hammond Frederick, two sons, James Kirk Frederick and wife Denise of Tallahassee, Fla., Brian E. Frederick of Ozark; daughter, Rebecca P. Smith and husband, William Floyd Smith of Heflin; sisters, Virginia F. Morgan and husband Ray of Springfield, VA., Katherine F. Frey of Mobile, Nelda F. Griffith and husband, Thomas of Germantown, Tenn., four grandchildren, William Clay Smith of Athens, Tenn., Brooklyn A. Smith of Oxford, Andrew Clark and Hunter Kirk Frederick of Tallahassee, Fla.
