Two more deaths as the result of gunshot wounds suffered while deer hunting were reported Wednesday, both in southern Oregon. This raises the 1944 deer hunting toll in Oregon to four human lives. Charles Wolfe, 15, of Ashland, was killed instantly when a bullet from the gun of his twin brother, Foster, plowed into his brain. The two boys, with their father and three other companions, were hunting 28 miles east of Ashland. Charles and the father had separated from Foster and the rest of the party and the bullet which struck Charles was from an accidentally discharged shell. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at Ashland. Charles and his brother both were students in Ashland high school.
