Hosier of Lakewood will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Olinger Mortuary, Wadsworth Boulevard. Burial will be in Crown Hill. Hosier died Tuesday in Charm Acres Nursing Home after a long illness. He was 78. Born on Oct. 30, 1901, in Holton, Kan., he attended schools in Topeka, Kan. He came to Denver in 1942 and worked for the Catholic Register. He owned and operated Hosier Mailing Service for 26 years. He was president of the International Mailers Union for 20 years before retiring in 1971. He was a member of Denver Mailers Union No. 8 and of Orient Masonic Lodge 51 in Topeka. He married Frieda Stroscher Feb. 16, 1922. Surviving in addition to his wife, are three sons, Robert A. Hosier and Jewell A. Hosier of Lakewood; and Delbert F. Hosier of Arvada; two daughters, Merrillee Soderstrom of Arvada and Janice Whitcomb of Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
