Eugene Horace Winter Sr.

He worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps and later the Milwaukee Railroad, supplying Hanford during World War II. Mr. Winter moved to Calder, ID, in the 1950s, where he lived until retiring in 1971. He moved to St. Maries after his retirement and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Workers. Mr. Winter was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, in 1987. Survivors include sons, Eugene Winter Jr. and Chuck Winter, both of St. Maries, Frederick Winter of Bovill, ID, William Winter of Olympia, Richard Winter of Rathdrum, ID, and Joseph Winter of Coeur d'Alene; daughter, Merna Lewis of St. Maries; 25 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
