Obituaries from the Wichita Eagle January 11 & 12, 1965: Mrs. Grace Louise Kirkpatrick, 61, of 9608 Mellor, died Sunday. She was born October 3, 1903, at Carl Junction, Mo. She came to Wichita 45 years ago from Joplin, Mo. She was a member of College Hill Methodist Church. Survivors include her widower, Paul D., a daughter, Mrs. Bill Everhart, 1514 S. Battin; her mother Mrs. Maude Searcy, 2917 E. 2nd; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Stevens, 2483 N. Belmont and Mrs. Harold Matheny, Rose Hill, Kan., and a grandchild. Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home has charge.
Services for Mrs. Grace Louise Kirkpatrick 61, of 9608 Mellor, who died Sunday, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home Downtown. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Kirkpatrick and her husband owned and operated the Kirk's Barbecue 30 years.
