Born October 18, 1922, in Richmond to Walter and Bertha Judd Fox, she was a life-long resident of this area. Vivian was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and attended Fountain City Wesleyan Church. Her focus in life was her family and her faith. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, embroidery, country music, and dancing. Survivors include her daughters, Diane (Homer) Chamness of Richmond and Linda (Phillip) Ringley of Williamsburg; sons, Larry D. Baker of Williamsburg and Timothy A. (Martha) Baker of Richmond; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Baker to whom she was married August 9, 1941; son, Lowell Baker; grandson, Eric Baker; two brothers; one sister; and daughter-in-law, Rosemary Baker. Visitation for Vivian M. Baker will be from 12 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor David Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery Veteran's Field of Honor.
