Maulsby, 75, of Plover with burial in Powhatan Cemetery near Plover. Mr. Maulsby died Sunday afternoon, June 12, 1977 at the Pocahontas Community Hospital. Pallbearers were Gene Hohensee, Floyd Minkler, Jim Trimble, Russell Enockson, Roy Simonson and Darrell Sindergard. Survivors are the widow, Eunice; daughters, Mrs. Larry R. Johnson, Marshalltown, and Beth Ann at home, three grandchildren; and sisters, Mrs. Howard Luft, Pocahontas and Mrs. Harry Junkman, Manson.
Mr. Maulsby was born at Fonda and moved to the Plover area with his parents at an early age. He graduated from Plover High School and attended the Four-C Business College in Des Moines, now American Institute of Business. He married Eunice Stearns in 1935 in Fairmont, Minn. Mr. Maulsby was involved in several businesses before becoming Plover postmaster, a position he held for 20 years before retiring five years also. He had been in poor health several years.
