Fairfield Journal, Fairfield, Iowa, Wed., Jan. 12, 1916, 2-1: The remains of Mrs. Rachel Kirkpatrick who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wendell (Mary) Crumly at Lancaster, Calif., will be brought to the Frazey Undertaking Parlors in Fairfield Sat. night. The funeral services will be held Sunday morning at 11 o’clock at the McDowell Chapel and the remains interred near there. Mrs. Kirkpatrick who is about 80 years of age was the wife of Whitfield Kirkpatrick who passed away nearly 30 years ago. They formerly resided on a farm southwest of McDowell Chapel.
