Margaret Rena (Terry) VanVlack, 99, passed peacefully on February 22, 2013. Born June 14, 1913 in Strathmore, CA, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Margaret (Bogart) Terry and Deal Marshall Terry. She is survived by a younger brother Lester Ellis Terry. Three other siblings, Patricia Joan (Terry) Lambert, Ralph Marcus Terry, and Louis Marshall Terry predeceased her. Margaret was a beloved wife of Wayne Erwin Chandler who passed away in 1960 and of Gerald VanVlack who passed away in 1985. Margaret spent much of her life as a homemaker and mother to her children, but in later years had rewarding careers in sales at Bravo McKeegan of Stockton, CA. and Secretarial/Bookkeeping positions at the City of Stockton, CA. She enjoyed gardening and playing Bridge and she was active in the Congregational Church of Stockton and later of Santa Cruz. She was active in Beta Sigma Phi, a professional service organization. She will be greatly missed but remembered forever by all who loved her including her children Paul Terry Chandler of Tucson, AZ. and Nancy Joan (Chandler) Harmon of Aptos, CA. and her grandchildren: Christopher Chandler, Robert Chandler, and Ryan Harmon, and her great-grandchildren: Graham, Griffin and Lucy Chandler, and Michael Harmon.
