The Item, Sumter, South Carolina, July 14, 2004: Terry Lee Becker Taylor, 57, died Monday, July 12, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born April 16, 1947, in Topeka, Kan., she was a daughter of Robert James Becker and the late Frances Elizabeth Liggett Becker. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter and was a real estate and insurance agent. She was twice married, first to Norman Guy Jr. and later to Stephen Taylor. Survivors include three sons, Anthony Guy and his wife, Yvonne, of Topeka, Kan., Dan Guy and his wife, Tricia, of Martinez, Ga., and Tate Taylor of Sumter; grandchildren, Cassandra, Austin, Savannah and Breanna; five sisters, Debra Gallaway of Topeka, Kan., Debra Habecker of Fredericksburg, Texas, Robin Jackson of Magna, Utah, Sandi Gerrard-Gough of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Tammy Barthel of Denver; and her stepmother, Margo Barthel of Fredericksburg, Texas. She was preceded in death by her biological father, Herbert C. Barthel. Cremation is planned and memorial services are pending. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of arrangements.
