Thomas Daniel Reese, 84, Nevada, died Tuesday morning at home after learning of his wife's death. Mrs. Fletta Mae Reese, 77, died earlier Tuesday morning at a Nevada nursing home. Mr. Reese was born March 11, 1988, at Peterton, Kan., the son of Joseph and Gwenthilian Reese. He was married June 26, 1920 at St. Louis, to the former Miss Fleeta Mae Bohner. He retired as wire chief in 1957 after 40 years with the Missouri Pacific Railroad. A member of the First Baptist Church, Nevada, Mr. Reese was a veteran of World Ar I, and a member of masonic Lodge at Pittsburg, Kan.; the White Shrine, Order of the Eastern star and Past Patron, American Legion and world War I Barracks No. 315 in Nevada.
Mrs. Reese was born March 16, 1895 at Sedalia, the daughter of Adam and Elizabeth Oldham Bohner. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Nevada, White Shrine, Order of the Eastern Star, Progress Club and the Missouri Pacific Boosters Club.
Mr. and Mrs. Reese are survived by: Two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Truitt, Prairie Village, Kan., and Mrs. Robert L. Martin, Jefferson City; and six grandchildren. In addition, Mr. Reese is survived by one brother, Ivor Reese, Independence, and one sister, Mrs. Mae Campbell, Chicago. Mrs. Reese is also survived by one brother, Dr. Earl Bohner, Springfield. Combined funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Milster Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. O. V. Dodson officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Ft. Scott, Kan.
