Sweetwater, Tex.---Miss Cynthia Briggs, 20, of Sweetwater, formerly of Kansas City, suffered fatal injuries June 22 in an accident near here that killed one other person, according to Sweetwater police.
Police said she was a passenger in a car driven by Charles H. Greer, 22, Sweetwater, when it collided head-on with another car on U. S. 80 about a [x number of ] miles east of Sweetwater. Greer suffered fatal injuries.
She was born in sedan, Kan., and had lived in Kansas City most of her life. She had lived in Sweetwater about two months. She was graduated from Stevens College, Columbia, in 1973.
She leaves her mother, Mrs. Robert Briggs, Sr., a brother, Robert Briggs, Jr., and a sister, Miss Pamela Briggs, all of 620 Romany Road, Kansas City; another sister, Mrs. Sheila Campbell, Whiteman Air Force base, Mo., and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. McCray, 11233 Bennington, Kansas City.
Services will be at noon Tuesday at St. George's Episcopal Church; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the church.
