Paul Bernard Hamm

Tulsa Daily World, Tuesday, July 28, 1959: Hamm Named School Aide, Edison Junior High Counselor Moved Up. Paul B. Hamm, Edison junior high school teacher and counselor will serve as the schools' assistant principal for the 1959-60 year Dr. Charles C. Mason, Tulsa superintendent, announced Monday. Hamm's appointment fills the vacancy created earlier this year when Lewis Cleveland was named to the principalship of the new Orville Wright junior high which opens in September. The new Edison assistant principal received his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Kansas State Teachers college. He has done advanced study at University of Kansas and Colorado College of education. Hamm started his teaching career at Sand Springs where he served as instructor and elementary school principal from 1930 to 1938. He joined the Tulsa system in 1938 as social studies teacher at Roosevelt junior high. He remained in that assignment until 1957 when he was transferred to Edison junior high. Last year, Hamm served as a full-time counselor there. Hamm holds membership in several educational organization and Phi Delta Kappa, professional educational fraternity. He and his family live at 2528 S. Columbia Pl.
