Services for David Goldfarb, 82, of Verona and Aventura, Fla., a state lottery commissioner, former Assemblyman and Trenton lobbyist, will be held at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Menorah Chapels at Millburn, 2950 Vaux Hall Rd., Union. Mr. Goldfarb, who died Thursday in Aventura Hospital, represented the tobacco and candy industries in Trenton for more than 20 years before retiring in 1996. He also has been a state lottery commissioner for the past eight years. He was the owner of the Auto Transport Co., Newark, and president of the National Taxi Association of Newark in the 1960s. A Republican Assemblyman from the South Orange area in the late 1960s, he remained active in local and national GOP politics. He was recently inducted into the Inner Circle of the Republican Party, Washington, D.C. Mr. Goldfarb was chairman of the March of Dimes in Essex County, past president of the Knights of Pythias, South Orange, and a member of B'nai B'rith of Essex County. Mr. Goldfarb was inducted into the Essex County Sports Hall of Fame in early 1990. Born in Newark, he lived in South Orange for many years before moving to Verona. He also maintained a home in Aventura. Surviving are his wife, Joyce; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lynne Stanzione; a stepson, Craig Katz, and three grandchildren.
