Obituary from The Tribune, San Luis Obispo, California, November 2, 2001, page B2: Marietta Bosch, 92, of Arroyo Grande died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at her home. Visitation will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel in Grover Beach. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Grace Bible Church in Arroyo Grande. The Rev. Delbert McLaughlin will officiate. Burial will follow at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery. Mrs. Bosch was born Nov. 5, 1908 in Arroyo Grande. In 1918, she joined the Presbyterian Church where she later taught Sunday School to children. She was a member of the church for 83 years. In 1927 Mrs. Bosch graduated from Arroyo Grande High School. She then attended Fabiola Hospital School of Nursing in Oakland and graduated in 1931. Mrs. Bosch married Frank E. Bosch on January 31, 1931. The couple lived in Southern California for many years before returning to Arroyo Grande. She worked as a registered nurse in Santa Maria and for several doctors' offices in Arroyo Grande before retiring in 1968. She enjoyed traveling, photography and growing orchids. She was a member and past matron of the Ramona Chapter No. 97 Order of the Eastern Star in Arroyo Grande and of the Triangle Grange in Arroyo Grande. Mrs. Bosch is survived by her sons, Ken Bosch and wife Barbara of Templeton and Doug Bosch and wife Edna of Arroyo Grande; grandchildren, Scott and LeeAnn; and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bosch, in 1987, brother Leo Brisco and sisters Daisy and Charlotte. Memorials contributions may be made to Grace Bible Church, P.O. Box 1210, Arroyo Grande 93421 or to Hospice Partners of the Central Coast, 277 South St., Suite R, San Luis Obispo 93401.
