On the 1920 U. S. Census of Bridge, Douglas Co., Washington, Dora E. Bastin appears with her sons Frederic G. and Floyd T. Frederic is a machinist in a garage.

On the 1930 U. S. Census of Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois G. Fred Bastin and his wife N. Arplin, son Raymond and mother Dora appear. Fred is an ice man. They are living at 3521 Congress St.
