William John Murphy

He was a lifelong Town of Elba resident and was a member of the St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Town of Elba, Dodge County, and the Knights of Columbus. He married Lois Kirkpatrick in 1938. Survivors in Madison include two sisters, Mrs. Marie Brossard and Marion Murphy, both of 1130 Erin St. Other survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Donald Klug, Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. John Sayre, Milton; a son, John, Milwaukee, and one grandchild.

Friends may call at the Jones Funeral Home, Columbus, after 3 p.m. Sunday. A combined parish and Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited in the funeral home Sunday night at 8. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Columbkille Church, with the Rev. Adrian Race officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
