The Examiner, Independence - Blues Springs - Grain Valley, Missouri, May 14, 2002: Adah Z. Carlson Bullen, 97, Independence, died Monday, May 13, 2002, at The Groves in Independence. Mrs. Bullen was born Aug. 12, 1904, in Kansas City, Kan. She was a school teacher and taught special education in later years. She was a lifetime active member of the Community of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bullen, and a sister, Opal Omans. Her survivors include three nieces, Joyce Omans, Woodland, Calif., Ardi Lawrence, Cookville, Ind., and Sally Tillock, Independence; seven great-nieces and nephews; 10 great-great-nieces and nephews; three stepchildren; and several stepgrandchildren. Cremation. Arrangements are under the direction of Morticians Service, Kansas City.
