Madison Wisconsin State Journal, Madison, Wisconsin, Sunday, December 29, 1957, Page 31, Col. 3: Coloma---Alfred Chatfield, 76, a Coloma resident for many years, died Friday in a Stevens Point hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harold Omen, 55212 Tonyawatha trail, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. L. J. Tucker, 2905 Monroe st., Madison.
Mr. Chatfield was a retired farmer, and had been a member of the town board for many years. The Chatfields were married for 56 years. He is also survived by his wife, Mary; two other daughters, Mrs. Claude Soul'e, Superior, Ariz.; and Mrs. A. J. Daye, Westfield; a son, Kenneth, Coloma; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
