State Journal-Register, Springfield, Illinois, Thursday, June 21, 1984, Page 40: Paul R. Novotnak, 68, of 2025 N. Eight St. died at 7:31 a.m. Wednesday at St. john's Hospital. Born in Springfield, Mr. Novotnak was the son of the late Michael and Anna Koskey Novotnak. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael and a sister Anne. Before his retirement in 1976, he was employed by the U. S. Post Office. Mr. Novotnak was a member of St. Joseph's Church and a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Lucille (Lamar); two sons, Michael and Jospeh, both of Madison Wis..; four daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Barniskis of Madison Wis., Miss Paula Novotnak of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. John (Carol) Lodge of San Francisco, Calif., and Miss Lynn Novotnak of Milwaukee, Wis.; one stepson, John Ramsey of Grantsburg; four step-daughters, Mrs. Jane Casey of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Mary Lou Dickerson of Fayetteville, N. C., Mrs. Barbara Harper of Napa, Calif., and Mrs. Peggy Botterman of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren; one brother, Henry J. of Springfield,; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Pauline) Cross of South Pasade3na, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church, with the Rev. John Corredato, CSV, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
