Elizabeth Hardy

Elizabeth (Betty) Hardy graduated from DePaul University with a degree in French. She married John Edward O'Brien in 1940. Betty worked as a housewife in Corpus Christi, Houston and Brownsville until she opened her own dress shop in Brownsville in 1962. After John's death, she moved to San Benito with Eleanor Taber, her sister. The operated an antique shop in the Hardy home in San Benito until they sold the home and moved to San Antonio. Upon Eleanor's death, Betty moved to Dallas.
