From Abigail Ferris and James Clason of Stamford, Ct. and Beaver Dam, Wisc. by Fay Morehouse Medhaug, Page 53, quoting a newspaper: January 12, 1888, Clason, Ethel, youngest daughter of Rufus Clason died at St. Augustine, Florida last Sat. Jan. 7, 1888, of the bloody flux. She was sick 12 days. The remains arrived here last night and was placed on the vault at Oakwood Cemetetry, it being dangerous for the family to return at this time.
