El Dorado News-Times, El Dorado, Arkansas, Sunday, November 16, 2003, Page 2: Thomas Harold Kirkpatrick Sr., 74, of Springhill, La., and formerly of Magnolia, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at the Veterans Hospital in Shreveport, La. He was born on Dec. 21, 1928, in Columbia County, the son of John and Iva Owen Kirkpatrick. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a truck driver for Meyers Transfer and Storage and a member of Christies Chapel Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jim, Aubrey and Carroll Kirkpatrick; and sisters Betty Hammett, Ann Wilson, Lou Ella Emerson and Edna Broughton. Survivors include his wife, Marie Francis Dulaney Kirkpatrick of Springhill; sons Don Van Doeharen of Elkhart, Ind., Johnny Kirkpatrick of Kingwood, Texas, Thomas Harold Kirkpatrick Jr. of Magnolia, George Kevin Kirkpatrick of Magnolia and Charles Lynn Kirkpatrick of Seoul, Korea; stepsons Robert Noel Edwards of Splendora, Texas, Jimmy Lee Edwards of Camden and Rex Fuller of Waldo; Also, stepdaughters Anna Mae Sindelar of Splendora, Debora Marie Collins of Splendora and Cynthia Jane Curtis of Emerson; sisters Inez Evers of Emerson and Linda Shepard Chappel of Kilbourne, La.; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Christies Chapel Church with Bro. Eric Goble officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the church. Pallbearers will be Jessie Curtis, David Freece, Cole Wilkinson, Robert Edwards Jr., John Edwards, Sandy Downey and Gabriel Sindelar.
