Mr. Brown was born Nov. 28, 1911 at Haigler, Neb., and was a lifetime resident of the St. Francis area. He was a farmer-rancher. He was a member of American Angus Association, Farm Bureau and Elks Lodge, Goodland. His wife, Sybil, died in 1992. Survivors include two sons, Gary of South Charleston, W. Va., and Noel of Novi, Mich.; two daughters, Donna Northrup of St. Francis and Beverly Andrews of Eugene, Ore.; a brother, Leonard of St. Francis; a sister, Vinnette Taylor of Boonville, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Clough Valley Church, rural St. Francis. Inurnment will be in Clough Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice Services, Box 1003, Goodland 67735. There will be no visitation. Knodel Funeral Home, 202 S. Benton, St. Francis 67756, is handling arrangements.
