Register-Republic, Rockford, Illinois, Tuesday, June 1, 1965, Page 3: Gunshot Wound Kills Harold E. Bellard. Beloit, Wis.--Harold E. (Hi) Bellard, 62, died about 4 a.m. Sunday of a bullet wound in the head. Rock County Coroner Richard McCaul said the death was an apparent suicide. Mr. Bellard was real estate and insurance agent and a well-known harness race horse owner. Surviving are his widow, Agnes; two daughters, Mrs. James Mielke, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Thomas Schultz, Palatine, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Jack Kummerow, Mrs. Ernest Rosenow, and Mrs. Wallace Bone, all of Beloit, and Mrs. Fred Werner, South Beloit; two brothers, Donald, Beloit, and Maynard, Rockford; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chilson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight in the funeral home, where there will be Masonic rites at 7 p.m.
