Leigh Isaacson

Leigh Isaacson was born at Cozad, Neb., on March 6, 1908 and grew to manhood in this vicinity. with the class of 1924 he was graduated from the Cozad High School. That same fall he entered the University of Nebraska and in June 1926 he graduated from the School of Pharmacy, and was employed by the University Drug Co., at Lincoln. On Nov. 26, 1926, he was united in marriage to Kathleen Sullivan of Lincoln, Neb. They came to Lexington, Neb., in January 1927, where he was employed at the McVicker Drug Store. His death was due to burns received in an explosion and fire which occurred August 9th, while he was at work. He died at his home in Lexington, Neb., on August 2, 1928. He died in a radiant faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Kathleen Isaacson, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Isaacson of Gothenburg, his grandfather, T. H. Lemmon of Cozad, two uncles Roscoe and Robert Lemmon of Cozad, one aunt. Mrs. Esther Scott of Gothenburg, and many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday forenoon at the home of his parents in Gothenburg, conducted by Rev. Joseph Stopford, and were very largely attended Selections were sung by a mixed quartette, Mrs. E. Wm. Sall, Miss Gertrude Norsworthy, B. A. Norsworthy and D. L. Thompson. Fraternity brothers of the deceased, Frank Kendall of Lincoln, Meryl Duryee of Oxford, Tom Harkness and John Brody of Lexington, John Strahle and Eugene Bach of Gothenburg, acted as pallbearers.
