Clarksville, Aug. 10---Edward Porter, aged 70, former member of the state Highway Commission, Johnson County judge and Clarksville municipal judge, died here tonight after an illness of several months. Mr. Porter served on the Highway Commission during the administration of Governor J. M. Futrell and was county judge for eight years. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gayland Strong of Clarksville; his mother, Mrs. Alice Porter of Clarksville; a sister and two brothers.
