He was a retired auto mechanic, a veteran of World War I and member of Hunter Memorial Methodist Church. He was a native of Clarksville. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Minnie Wyatt Porter; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Porter Pippin of Little Rock; a brother, Russell Porter of Indiawla [Indianola], Iowa; two grandchildren, Thomas Wayne Pippin and Johnny Pippin, both of Little Rock. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Healey & Roth.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Hunter Memorial Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Minnie Wyatt Porter; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Porter Pippin of Little Rock; two brothers, Russell Porter of Indianola, Iowa, and Harold Porter of Muskogee, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Henderson Speer of Fort Smith and two grandchildren.
