Posted at findagrave.com: Sarah Edwards Cain Kirby was born to Wall and Ida Penn Cain on February 7, 1893 she had an older brother Erbie who was born February 3,1891 but died April 30,1891. There is no finding the family in 1900. In 1910 the family was living in Collinsville, DeKalb County, Alabama, Sarah was 17 years old and in 1913 on April 22 she became Mrs. Milton Wiley Kirby in DeKalb County, Georgia. Her new husband was a fireman for the railroad. In 1920 she and Milton Wiley lived in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama and were now the parents of a son Milton Wiley Jr who was born in 1914 on February 13, what a Valentine gift for them both. In 1930 they are renting a home on Court Street and her father, 75 year old Wall Cain who is a widow is living with Sarah, Doc and Milton Jr. who is now 15. Her husband was now an engineer for the railways. They continued to live in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama but according to the US City Directories for the area they rented for years moving around a lot but always staying within the same area of Birmingham. In 1932 Sarah said good bye to her dad and laid him to rest in the Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville, DeKalb County, Alabama beside her mom who had passed in 1901. They finally own a home on Court Street in 1940 and on June 7, 1962 Sarah laid her beloved Doc to rest in Collinsville, Alabama to wait on her to be laid beside him in 1968. Her son Milton Wiley Kirby Jr. passed in 1990 in Fulton County, Georgia and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery County, Alabama.
