Obituary from Westfield Republican, Wednesday, September 6, 1905: Dropped Dead. Mrs. S. M. Hosier, aged about 62 years, widow of the late Justice Hosier who has been a patient sufferer from heart difficulty for a long time, and who of late has been in failing health was found dead at her home by Mrs. A. F. Fitch this morning at about 10;30. Mrs. Hosier had been seen by neighbors about her home and yard early in the morning and death came apparently at about 9:30 a.m., caused by an attack of heart disease. Dr. Soules, her physician was at once called and it was considered unnecessary to notify the coroner. She is survived by a sister, a brother and an aged mother living in Rootstown, Ohio, who will have the sympathy of the entire community in their sorrow.
Westfield Republican, Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1905: The funeral of Mrs. Alice E. Hosier was held on Friday afternoon and was largely attended. Rev. G. L. MacClelland officiated and the interment was in Westfield cemetery.
