Graveside services will be held at the Mexia city cemetery Thursday afternoon at 1:30 for Robert F. Bales, 78, a resident of Houston, who died in a Houston hospital Tuesday. Minister Willis Jernigan of the Ross Avenue Church of Christ will officiate and burial will be in Mexia city cemetery with Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A former resident of Mexia, Mr. Bales was born on July 27,1892 in Milam County. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Bales, who had lived in Houston since 1941, is survived by a sister, Mrs. C. C. Box of New Braunfels, and four brothers, Jim Bales of Buckholts; J. R. Bales of Stockton, California, and A. and R. E. Bales, both of Houston.
