Marianna, Sept. 23---Mrs. Myra Banks Brown, aged 65, died at her home in Marianna this morning. She was born and reared in Lee county, the daughter of the late Charles Banks. She was the widow of James Penn Brown, a well known lawyer. Mrs. Brown was a charter member of the L'Anguile Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the First Methodist church. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Daisy Banks Newbern; four daughters, Mrs. J. P. Pilkington, Mrs. Joy Hardaway, Mrs. John Ballamy, and Mrs. Davis Plummer and eight grandchildren, all of Marianna. Funeral services will be held at the home at 4:30 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Jefferson Sherman, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating.
