Obituary from unknown newspaper: Cora Marie Wachendorf, 75, of Montello., Wis., longtime resident of Rockford, Ill., died Oct. 18, 1990 in Portage, Wis., after a lengthy illness. Services were held Monday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. at Julian-Poorman-Welte Funeral Home with the burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Rockford. Cora was born Set. 15, 1915 at Osterdock to Edward and Hattie (Smith) Moser, spending her early years at Osterdock, Millville, and Turkey River. She married Ferman Wachendorf in Dubuque, Aug. 14, 1934. Survivors include one sister, Mildred (Herb) Philbrook of Guttenberg; son Leon, daughter-in-law Karen; five granddaughters, 11 great-grandchildren and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one great-grandson.
