Lexington Herald, Lexington, Kentucky, Wednesday, November 18, 1964, Page 12: Jackson---Owen Moore, 73, died at 2 p.m. Monday in Lexington after a long illness. He was a native of Breathitt County, a 25-year board member of the Agriculture Soil Conservation Service and a retired farmer. Survivors are his wife. Mrs. Lizzie D. Moore; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Haddix, Gross Point, Mich.; Mrs. Zoda M. Trice, Arlington, Va., and Mrs. Jean Hounshell, Lexington; three brothers, Dewey and Sam Moore, Altro, and Decoursey Moore, Lexington, and a sister, Mrs. Easter Patton, Altro. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Jackson First Baptist Church by the Rev. Francis Deaton and the Rev. W. W. Thompson. Burial will be in Buck Herald Cemetery, Talbert. The body is at the Breathitt Funeral Home.
