He was born in Lincoln Co., Mo., and moved to Tacoma in 1930. He was employed by Todd Pacific shipyards. He is survived by his wife, Rachael, of the home; two sons, Leonard and Mack, Tacoma; five daughters, Misses Elsie, Cecila and Patricia Stanhope, Tacoma, Mrs. J. R. Travis, Newport, Ore., and Mrs. K. K. Bohn, Parkland; sister, Mrs. Ed Mallow, Oregon; two brothers, Leonard, Pilot Rock, Ore., and Allie Stanhope, Albert, Can.; three granddaughters. Funeral arrangements will be made by C. C. Mellinger funeral home.
