Wilbur Ernest Craig

Craig, who died Tuesday morning, by the Rev. E. W. Brayton. The son of Almarion and Maryetta Craig, he was born April 19, 1866, in Durant. His boyhood was spent in Norway and he moved with his family to Laurens where he assisted his father in farming. In 1904 he moved to Oelwein. On March 4, 1908, he was married to Sabra Frentress Hosier. A year later they moved to a farm they purchased one-half mile north of Aurora where he lived until his death. His wife and three children survive: A daughter, Mrs. Marion Dilley of Hickam Field, Hawaii, Arlo of Aurora and Harold of Cedar Rapids. Other survivors are a brother, Louis Craig of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. Ira Sidall and Mrs. Matie Kier of Laurens; eight grandchildren. Burial was in Oakland cemetery in Manchester.
