Deceased Name: Morris "Bubba" Glover Sr. -- Antioch, Aug. 4, 1910 to Sept. 6, 1998. Bubba Glover, a steelworker for 34 years with U.S. Steel Corp. in Pittsburg who retired in 1974, died Sunday at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Walnut Creek. He was 88. The native of Natchez, Miss., had lived in Pittsburg since 1941 before moving to Antioch four years ago. He worked at Concord Naval Weapons Station for four years. He was a member of Steelworkers Union Local 1440 of Pittsburg, Amos Masonic Lodge 14 of Richmond and Moose Lodge of Clearlake. He enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his daughters, Fay Dabney, Adell Mitchell, Janet and Patricia Glover and Lillie Shepherd, all of Pittsburg; sons, Morris Jr., Charles, Federal and Kenneth Glover, all of Pittsburg; 43 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. His wife, Faye, died in 1990. His daughters, Leola Banks and Kimberly Glover, and sons, Leon and Lincoln Walker, all died previously. Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel, with burial at Oak View Memorial Park in Antioch. Visitation will be at 2 p.m. today, with a quiet hour at 7 p.m. and an 8 p.m. Masonic service at the chapel.
