Funeral services are pending in Antioch for mack Martinez, 60, of 1200 W. 10th St., who died early this morning at Pittsburg Community Hospital. He was born in Abilene, Tex., came to California with his family at the age of one, and moved to Oakley when he was 14. Mr. Martinez worked for Fibreboard at First and L streets in Antioch and in 1960 he was employed at Hickmott Cannery as a fork lift operator. He was very active in Little League baseball at Oakley and Antioch. Surviving are his wife, Faye, six sons, Mack Jr. of Concord, Andy of Pittsburg, Dave Kirkpatrick of Concord, John Kirkpatrick who is with the U.S. Air Force in the Philippine Islands, Tim Kirkpatrick of Antioch, and Benny Miller of Antioch, three daughters, Miss Lucy and Miss Virgie Martinez of Pittsburg, and Mrs. Sue Vieira of Antioch, three sisters, Mrs. Frank Navarez of Oakley, Mrs. Connie Luna of Escalon, and Mrs. Lucy Oliverez of Hamilton City, Calif.; two brothers, Gene of Concord and Andrew of Antioch and his stepfather, Pablo Chavolla of Oakley.
