Bakersfield Californian, Bakersfield, California, Friday, October 19, 1973, Page 40, Col. 7: Cowan, Troy Raymond---Services will be held in the Greenlawn Chapel at 9 a.m. Saturday for Troy Raymond Cowan, 57, 2106 Watson Street, who died Oct. 18, in a Bakersfield hospital. The Rev. Fred Cottriel will officiate and interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Cowan was a native of California and had resided in this state all his life and in Kern County 50 years. He had engaged in the oil industry 30 years, was last employed by Standard Oil Co. and at the time of retirement was a tool pusher. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include the widow Lois; a daughter, Shirley Skaggs of Bakersfield; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Cowan of Bakersfield; four sisters, Gladys Paul and Maxine Knox of Bakersfield, Elma Crilley of Buena Park and Edna Chambers of Saugus; 2 brothers Leroy Cowan of Torrance and Ronald Cowan of Santa Ana; and 4 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be William Ramsden, Hubert Isaacs, Paul Pugh, Jess Walt, Everett Hull and Gary Coleman.
