Pedersen, 78, of 906 Conger St. Mr. Pedersen died Sunday evening at the Allen Memorial Convalescent Home of arterioselerosis. He was born Nov. 20, 1880, in Rochester, Minn., the son of Rasmus and Jennie Pedersen, and married Lillian Kirkpatrick on Feb. 11, 1910. Mr. Pedersen a Waterloo resident for the past 50 years, had been president and co-owner of the United Neckwear Manufacturing Co., and had been employed for 10 years by the John Deere Tractor Works, retiring in 1951.
He was a member of the First Congregational church, the Shriners, the Knights Templar, was a 32nd degree Mason, and a life member of Local 838, United Auto Workers. Survivors are one son, Don Pedersen, 123 Derbyshire Rd.; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Schoen, Reseda, Calif.; Mrs. Donald Guthrie, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Carl Mueller, Wauwatosa, Wis., two brothers; Clarence Pedersen, Savannah, Ga., and Cleve Pedersen, 414 Vermont St.; one sister, Mrs. John Van Hauen, 1233 W. 23rd St., Cedar Falls, and eight grandchildren. Mr. Pedersen was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two sisters.
