Stillwater News Press, Stillwater, Oklahoma, Monday, December 2, 2013: David Leroy Pendleton, 64, passed away at his home in Midwest City on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013. His graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, south of Stillwater on U.S. Highway 177. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. David was born Sept. 26, 1949, to Marjorie and Jack Pendleton at Stillwater. He was the youngest of five sons. He attended Stillwater schools, graduating in 1968. David served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. Returning home he attended OSU where he met and later married Linda Kay Ward, from Perkins. They have two children, Amy Adams and Aaron Pendleton and three grandchildren; Mackenzie, Madison and Mason. David is preceded in death by his father, Jack Pendleton Sr., and brother, Jerry Pendleton. David was retired from "Science Museum Oklahoma" in Oklahoma City. David is also survived by his mother, Marjorie Pendleton and brothers, Ed, Mike and Gene and their wives, all of Stillwater.
