The Odessa American, Odessa, Texas, Saturday, April 12, 1997, Page 3 B: Odessa -- Sterlin Swan, 86, a retired heavy duty mechanic for the state of New Mexico, died Thursday, April 10, 1997, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Big Spring. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Aldersgate Methodist Church. Graveside services will follow at Brookhaven Cemetery in Roswell, N.M. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home of Big Spring. He was born Dec. 22, 1911, in Amos, Ark., and came to Odessa from Roswell, N.M. Survivors: Wife, Ava Swan of Odessa; daughter, Sharon Dyer of Odessa; son, Ed Brown of Milpitas, Calif.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
