Amanda Pauline Borcherding Enright was born July 6, 1896, at Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Borcherding and Louise Rodemeyer. She attended Hamilton Township School in Franklin County, Iowa. On March 20, 1910, she was confirmed at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latimer, Iowa. Mrs. Enright resided in Hampton and in Austin where she had lived at 1901 4th St. SW for the year previous to her death.
She was united in marriage to Edward Einhaus, Sept. 21, 1921, at Latimer. Mr. Einhaus died Oct. 10, 1931, at Austin. On Nov. 29, 1934, she was married to Leonard Enright at Mason City, Iowa. Mr. Enright passed away July 14, 1942, at Austin. Mrs. Enright was a retired Hormel Co. employee and a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She died unexpectedly at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22. 1974, at St. Olaf Hospital. She is survived by two sons, Lowell Einhaus, Austin, Lyle Einhaus, Spokane, Wash.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Fred (Louise) Pralle, Mrs. Lena Pralle, Onalaska, Wis., Mrs. Edwin (Wilhelmina) Paullus, Latimer; three brothers, Aaron Borcherding, Louis Borcherding, Latimer, Walter Borcherding, Madrid, Iowa; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, one brother and two sisters. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 1974, at Grace Lutheran Church, Rev. Henry Mayer officiating. Interment was at Hampton, Iowa. The Worlein Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
