Posted at findagrave.com: Lewistown---Charlotte E. Goforth, 90, of 628 E. Arnold St. passed away at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at her home. She was born April 8, 1917, at Canton, the daughter of Ivan and Edna (Dainty) Seidell. She married Merriwell A. "Chuck" Goforth on Sept. 12, 1936. He died Nov. 4, 1984. She was also preceded by one son, Neil Goforth, on March 17, 1971.
Surviving are three sons, Kent (Ronda) Goforth of Lewistown, Lyle Goforth of Lewistown and Mark (Jan) Goforth of Simi Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Nina (Robert) Smith of Lewistown and Lynn (Jim) Munson of Lewistown; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She had attended Browns Business College in Peoria. She was a member of the Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a volunteer for the Spoon River Literacy Program. She attended TOPS and enjoyed quilting.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, with the Rev. Ray Greenfield officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois Street Christian Church.
