William Albert "Billy" Brannan Jr.

Brannan, Jr., 16- year-old boy who was drowned while skating on Payette lake Thursday, will arrive in Nampa Sunday and will be taken to the Robinson funeral home.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed Saturday night, but services were tentatively set for Monday at the Robinson chapel. Definite announcement of the time will be announced following arrival of the body.
The youth, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Brannan, Sr., of Nampa. is also survived by two sisters, Maxine and Betty Brannan of Nampa. He was born in North Platte, Neb., April 13, 1923. He came to Nampa with his parents when a small boy and attended schools here. He enrolled with the CCC about a year ago and was stationed at Payette lake.

Nampa---Last Rites for William Brannan, Jr., former Nampa high school boy who was drowned in Payette Lake last Thursday, were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the Christian church. The Rev. Lester Jones conducted the services, which were attended by former classmates, CCC boys from McCall, and other friends.
Pallbearers were six CCC youths from McCall where young Brannan had been enrolled for nearly a year. Interment was in Cloverdale Memorial Park near Boise. The firing squad from troop F of Idaho National Guard, Nampa, fired a military salute at the close of the graveside service.
