Janice Mary Kirkpatrick, 66, died Dec. 22, 2001, at her home in The Woodlands, Texas. Born Nov. 19, 1935, in Yankton, S.D., she was the daughter of the late J. Robert and Emma Mills Duncan. She married Charles T. Kirkpatrick, a native of Walnut Ridge, on June 27, 1959. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, she retired in 1998 from Oak Creek Elementary in Spring, Texas, after 19 years of service. She had previously taught in Sioux City, Iowa, Palatine, Ill., and Peters Township, Penn. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carol Labiosa, Katy, Texas; three sons, Robert Kirkpatrick, Houston, Texas, Timothy Kirkpatrick, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Michael Kirkpatrick,Washington, D.C.; three brothers, John R. Duncan, San Diego, Calif., Patrick M. Duncan, Houston, Texas, and Dennis Duncan, Moorhead, Minn.; and six grandchildren, Sean Kirkpatrick, Ryan Kirkpatrick, Seamus Kirkpatrick, Megan Kirkpatrick, Liam Kirkpatrick and Shannon Kirkpatrick. Funeral was Dec. 27, 2001, at St. Anthony of Padua in The Woodlands with burial at Klein Memorial Park in Tomball, Texas.
