Mary Elizabeth Bell

Mary Beth Kirkpatrick, 84, of Fort Smith passed away Saturday, March 12, 2005. She was born Dec. 29, 1920, in Greenwood to Clifford and Maxey Henry Bell. She was a retired medical transcriptionist for The Eye Group, a member of First United Methodist Church and the Aldersgate Sunday School Class. She was active in the PTA of Fort Smith Public Schools. She was past president of Rogers Elementary PTA, Darby Junior High School PTA and the PTA City Council. She was an avid Razorbacks fan. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at Roebuck Chapel with private family interment at the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Fred Kirkpatrick; a son, Fred Kirkpatrick and wife Mary of Harrison; two daughters, Beth Janes and husband Randy of Fort Smith and Lynn Vigneault and husband J.J. of Little Rock; a brother, Clifford Bell and wife Blanche of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren, Greg Kirkpatrick and wife Darlene of Little Rock, Elizabeth Stephens and husband Wendell of Harrison, Katie Duck of Harrison, Ellen Mufti and husband Yusut of Staten Island, N.Y., Karen Sher of Dallas and Matthew and Lindsey Vigneault of Little Rock; three great-grandchildren, Garrett Kirkpatrick, Alexandra Clark and Michael Stephens.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home.
