Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal, Tupelo, Mississippi, 17 April 2005: TUPELO - Charles Edward Aycock, 92, formerly of Starkville, died Friday, April 15, 2005, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a native of Troy. He was in the grocery business for more than 40 years and was the retired proprietor of United Food Market. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and bird watching. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Starkville with the Rev. Johnny Buckner officiating. Burial will be in the Oktibbeha Memorial Park. Survivors include two sons, Phil Aycock and wife, Jayne, of Tupelo, and Billy Aycock of Fayetteville, Ark.; four grandchildren and their spouses, Marilyn and Dennis Miles of Fayetteville, Ark., Babs and Tommy Fulton of Tupelo, Amy and Van Ray of Yazoo City, and Andy and Renee Aycock of Southaven; six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Juva Green Aycock and Corrine Burdine Aycock. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
