Houston Times Post, Houston, Mississippi, June 29 1988: Curt Law, age 71, of Houlka, died Saturday, June 25 1988 at the V A Hospital in Memphis. Funeral services were held Monday, June 27 at Schooner Valley Baptist Church. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. A C Gore officiating. The son of the late Bart Law and the late Susie Carr, he was retired from the U S Forest Service. A lifelong resident of Houlka, he was a veteran of World War II and was a member of Schooner Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Estelle Funderburg Law of Houlka; one daughter, Mrs. Patsy Griggs of Houlka; one sister, Mrs. Opal Moss of Houlka; one half sister, Mrs. Ida Mae Botteroff of Poplar Grove, Arkansas; one half brother, Claiborne Smith of Houlka and two grandsons, Kevin Griggs and Jason Griggs. Pallbearers were Charles Moss, Ray Moss, Johnny Moss, Mack Washington, James Washington and Billy Washington. Houlka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
