Posted at Find-A-Grave.com: HAMILTON - Jimmie Corinne West Stewart, 100, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at the Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was born Jan. 11, 1908, in Gattman to James Terrell West and Sara Emma Odom West. She was a resident of Hamilton and had moved to Personal Place in April 2000. She was a member of Hamilton United Methodist Church, where she taught a Sunday school class, served as an officer of WSCS, played the piano and sang in the choir. She graduated from Hamilton High School. She taught kindergarten and high school work at Hamilton. She was active in county Home Demonstration work, and served as district and state president. She was member of the board of the Hamilton Public Library. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Martha Lynn Stewart Carden of Amory; two grandchildren, Mickey Lynn Mize (Linda) of Hamilton and Gary Leighton Mize of Roswell, Ga.; a family friend, Mitchell Holmes of Roswell, Ga.; one great-grandchild, Allison Lynn Mize of Hamilton; several nieces and nephews; her caregivers, Ora Lee Ward, Bettie and Sallie Ward, and Sandra Sim. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Andrew "Drewsy" Stewart; three sisters, Vera Leona Kolb, Nancy Naomi Wilson and Burma Mary West; and five brothers, Horace Greely, Carl Riley, Harold Onus, Kirby Franklin and Arlie Milton. Pallbearers will be Lem Holman, Terry Holman, L.C. Sanders, Martin Wilson, Sterling Coleman and Horace Malone. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Sanctuary Hospice House, P.O. Box 2177, Tupelo, MS 38803; Palmer Home, P.O. Box 746, Columbus, MS 39703; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
